Congratulations to August Member of the Month, Tracy!

Coach Jenny says, "Tracy brings such a fun, friendly energy to Dragonfly and is always a pleasure to have in class. She shows up with a great attitude, works hard, and is always willing to challenge herself. It’s been so fun watching her progressively get stronger, lift heavier, and continue to build confidence along the way." Way to go Tracy! 

We asked Tracy a few questions about her experience:

What separates your experience at Dragonfly from other things you've tried in the past? The difference that sticks out most to me is the individual coaching that I get in a Dragonfly class that I couldn't receive on an app or in a large class. The individual coaching helps me not hurt myself and know when I'm ready to progress to the harder movement or heavier weight (and also when I need to modify something)!

What motivates you to be consistent with your training? Knowing that I am getting stronger and setting goals for myself are huge motivators for me to be consistent. I trained my deadlift for the PR Party last fall and having that final event in mind was super motivating and fun. 

Is there anything that strength training has taught you or given you that you weren't expecting? I'm a single gal who does a decent amount of solo travel and a gift strength training has given me is the ability to carry heavy luggage (I am an extremely inefficient packer) and explore the outdoors (like do a difficult hike at Mount Rainier) independently. I'm also kind of short, so getting a heavy carry-on over my head and into the overhead compartment used to be more challenging for me. When I stored my carry-on in the compartment on a recent flight, someone nearby even complimented me on my form.

How about that? Functional for the win and a compliment from stranger! We love that Tracy! :)
