What brought you to Dragonfly? I first came to Dragonfly because I was interested in joining a gym in St. Louis so that I could start exercising more regularly and building better habits. I remembered that a friend of mine in college had done strength training and really enjoyed it, so I started researching strength training gyms in St. Louis. I am so glad that I ended up finding Dragonfly! I have loved every minute of my time here (except for maybe the minutes that were spent doing mountain climbers) and I really appreciate the strength of the community and the support we all show for each other both in and out of class.


Is there anything that strength training has taught you or given you that you weren't expecting? I think one of the biggest things that I've gained from strength training is a change in my mindset around goal setting and celebrating little wins along the way. Since our workouts are structured with incremental changes in weight or reps each week, I get excited about each of these little changes. Then at the end of a cycle I get to look back and see just how much of an improvement I've made since I started with a movement and how all those little changes add up to something big. This has helped me to shift my focus into breaking down big or even overwhelming-feeling goals into smaller steps. 


We love when y'all celebrate & share your accomplishments - big & small, inside & outside the gym.  Share with us something that you are proud of from the past few weeks or months. Over the past year, I have been working on improving my running. I used to run a lot, but hadn't done it in a while, so I was very out of practice. But I've been improving every time I go out, and I've made a lot of progress since I started. Right now I'm working towards a goal of running a 10K. Last month, I ran four miles without a break, which is the longest distance I have ever run and a big step along the way to my 10K goal!
