So how are those resolutions coming along? Are you still going strong? Have you fallen back into old habits? If you have, that’s okay. Guess what… you don’t have to wait until next January to restart. Start again right now! It takes a lot to make resolutions into habits, but here are a few tips that help me create new habits.
1- Make sure your resolutions are attainable in this season of your life. If they don’t fit in right now, maybe it’s a good idea to leave those alone and find something that fits! Just because it looks good on paper doesn’t mean it actually looks good in your current season.
2- Only choose 1 or 2 things to work on. When you have a list a mile long, it’s often impossible to get better at it all. Choose a few things that are important to you and work hard at those few things.
3- Give yourself grace, daily. You will not be perfect all the time and that’s okay. But don’t wait to restart. Remind yourself of what you’re trying to do and the why behind it, and try again.
